Congratulations Travis!

My nephew, Travis, graduates from nursing school today!

I made this card for him using my new Silhouette Cameo ... I am loving that wonderful machine more and more! I have had three Cricut machines ... the original Cricut, the Expression and about a year ago the Expression 2. I have always enjoyed using my Cricut and have certain cartridges I use ALL THE TIME, but when I saw the print & cut feature and thought how I could use true type fonts with the Cameo ... well I was sold. It didn't hurt that they were having an incredible sale. :)

The card style is from Lori Whitlock's store with Silhouette and I know I will be getting many things from her. I searched for a "heartbeat" and "stethoscope" and paid so little for them. I also used Tim Holtz Pocket Watches embossing folder by Sizzix.

Anyway, congratulations again Travis ... we are so proud of you!!

I'll be posting some Christmas cards I have been working on tomorrow. All those cards are made using Papertrey Ink stamps, inks and papers ... just some more goodies I got and love. Thanks for dropping by ... see you later!

Finally ... Crafting Again!

I've been away from crafting for a bit and have really missed it! I made a card the other day for my sweet friend, Robyn, who wasn't feeling well. Of course, by the time she got the card I think she was all better.

I have discovered Papertrey Ink  (PTI) and am in love with their stamps and dies!! I used their new stamp "Comfort Food Stamp Set" and the dies for that stamp set, the "Button Up Stamp Set" and dies, the tag is from the die set Tag Set #7, and the new "Sew Simple Borders Mini Stamp Set. The inks I used were Tim Holtz Distressed Ink: Festive Berries, Momento Ink: Tuxedo Black & London Fog, and Papertrey Ink: Harvest Gold. The paper is from Pinecone Press: Disneyish Happy Collection and Kraft cardstock from PTI.

Thanks for dropping by!!

There's a New Scrapbooking Store in Fredericksburg, Texas!

I am so thrilled for my friend, Lori. Tomorrow (November 20th) will be the grand opening of her new store, Timeless Menagerie, in Fredericksburg, Texas. It has lots and lots of scrapbooking goodies, but so much more. There are a lot of vintage finds, figurines, jewelry, note cards ... well, just see below.

Ah hem, I need to apologize for the quality of the pictures below. I took the pictures with my phone and some just didn't turn out as clear as they should have .. or as I would have liked them to. You will see though that even with the poor quality of photos, this store is fabulous!!!

There now ... didn't I tell you how incredible this store is! Please come by and visit Lori at Timeless Menagerie, 215 W Main, Suite C, Fredericksburg, Texas. Thanks for dropping by!

My Version of "On A Roll" ...

Hey all! I know it's been a while. I've been dealing with family health issues and just doing some paper projects to keep my sanity :)

I'm posting my latest from the awesome Laura Denison. This is her "On a Roll" project and I just added the Disney touch all over it!! It looks like a small rolling luggage and holds a mini album inside.

As you can see the mini album fits right inside the "luggage". You can put some extra pictures, park maps, tickets, and other "goodies" behind where the album goes.

Isn't this a super cute project! The rolling luggage has an actual handle, rolls (with the help of Tim Holtz idea-ology Pulley Wheels), and closes with a zipper.  I have never used a zipper for a project before and it was certainly interesting.:)

I used a lot of Pinecone Press papers for this. I designed the two tags, along with the Disney World with Mickey parts, for the front with Cricut Craft Room, my Disney Font and Disney Mickey & Friends cartridges and my Cricut machine.

I am in love with Queen & Co.'s Magic line and used one of their brads for the front of the mini album.

Here are some shots of the mini album. There are a ton of places to put pictures in this album.

Thanks for dropping by! Going to be taking care of family for the next few weeks then start on some more projects.
